Rodents

It’s normal to become upset when wild animals bother you or destroy your property. Sometimes the best thing to do is to simply put up with them, especially if the damages are relatively minor. The pest may be only passing through, and the problem will soon go away by itself.

On the other hand, when the situation becomes unbearable or risks becoming worse, there are ways to control the problem, keeping in mind that extermination efforts must always be respectful of the environment.

Most of the time, the solution consists in capturing and relocating the animal, whether it be a raccoon, a skunk, a marmot or a squirrel. However, experts strongly advise against relocating small mammals, since this increases the risk of introducing diseases and parasites into the relocation area. And if prevention measures have not been put in place before the problem animal is captured, it’s only a matter of time before another pest takes its place.

Do not attempt to capture the pest yourself – that could be dangerous. Call an experienced pest control expert instead. Mike Roy Pest Control can help. Join us at 819-329-1456 or ext.mikeroy1@gmail.com.
